Coaching…….It’s not a case of “one size fits all”
I get slightly annoyed when I read various online coaching programmes. The reason for this, is that they often imply that ‘one size fits all’. Believe me, it most certainly does not!
I meet a number of clients who have spent shed loads of money on such schemes and have then resorted to seeking individual coaching with a real live person. They often say that they wish they had done this in the beginning instead of thinking they were saving money and trying an ‘off the peg’ programme.
My advice to anyone looking for coaching or for a coaching programme to do their research. It’s often said “that if it seems to good to be true, it probably is” and a cheap programme claiming to be able change your life in a short space of time is more than likely to fall into this category. The only thing that can change your life or your thinking patterns is you.
Whether you are wanting to make changes, move out of your comfort zone or sort out some issues or problems, coaching maybe able to help you. However, it can’t be done overnight and takes time and expertise as well as patience and hard work from the client.
So, the next time you see someone pertaining to be able change your life over night give it some thought before parting with your hard earned cash.
