Making Your Road Map
Many people appear to be heartened by the recent announcement of the government, with regard to their road map that will be a potential plan for the coming months. We all sincerely hope it can go through without a hitch, as we are all beginning to suffer in many ways with the ongoing lockdown.
I have been encouraging a number of people to write their own road map so that when things do start to open up, they can begin to pull back their life and perhaps take up things they had once done. Better still, start new ones!
I do feel that once things are lifted or at least started, that people will get a ‘new lease of life’ and get their ‘mojo’ back. I know a number of you, are not convinced but I do genuinely feel that will be the case.
So……what plans do you have for this summer? Will these continue through the autumn months too? Yes. this does depend on any future lock down measures however, as Henry Ford said: “ Failing to plan, is planning to fail”.
So, here are some things you might want to consider:
Booking a holiday (make sure the company follow Covid policy refunds etc)
Taking up an old or new hobby
Re joining a gym or a fitness regime
Lose the lockdown weight (I certainly know I do)
Looking at following a healthier diet and possibly introducing new foods and vitamins
Looking at outdoor jobs that need doing or even ones that do not.
I could go on however, the important thing here, is that it is YOUR road map! Writing down plans and goals can be extremely helpful as once things are written down it makes us accountable. In other words, we are shamed into doing them!
Even better, tell friends and family what your new intentions are as they will help you to achieve them.
Even if you make a plan, but don’t achieve everything on the list, you will feel better for making one, I can guarantee that for sure.
So, what are you waiting for………… get planning and get your road map on the fridge or office wall!
